IT WAS A TOUGH JOB BUT SOMEONE HAD TO DO IT!

A big shout out to everyone who submitted recipes for the #SOSXCUERVO Cocktail Competition.  The night was a huge success with supporters packing out the Clough Club, enjoying a steady flow of Ceurvo Traditional while our talented group of judges had the tough job of picking a winner.

THE JURY IS IN!

Todd Zimmerman, bartender at YEW Restaurant at The Four Seasons Vancouver takes 1st place and scores the winning  $800 cash prize with his dessert cocktail “Takes the Cake”.  Inspired by the homespun flavours of his grandmother’s coffee cake, Todd wowed us with his ingenious balance of flavor, texture and above all—

TASTE! With a rich blend of Ceurvo, SOS Cold Brew, Cardamom, Cold Crème and orange zest….This is not your grandmother’s cocktail!

 

1st Place:  ‘TAKES THE CAKE”

  • 2 oz Cuervo Tradicional
  • 1 oz SOS Cold Brew
  • 3/4 oz Punt e Mes
  • 1/2 oz home made syrup*

* Homemade syrup is made from brown sugar, cardamom, and orange zest.

Kudos and applause go to Shane Ely from Granville Room who scored 2nd place and took home the $200 runner-up cash prize with his cocktail “Distress Signal”.
